Spark AR Halloween Filter
For a Halloween-themed Spark AR art test, I designed and developed a fun, interactive filter where it appears as though you’re wearing a pumpkin on your head, complete with an animated ghost popping out of the top. I handled every aspect of the production process—designing, modeling, rigging, and animating the assets from scratch.
To bring this filter to life, I first modeled the pumpkin and ghost in Maya, meticulously UV unwrapped them, and then textured them to give a cute, playful appearance. I documented each step of the process, from modeling to UV unwrapping and texturing, before transitioning to Unity to refine the composition and ensure that all elements worked harmoniously together. Once the assets were polished, I exported them into Spark AR.
Despite being new to Spark AR, I was able to learn the platform quickly and successfully map the pumpkin and ghost to track my face. The result is a charming and fun Halloween filter, showing off both my 3D design skills and my ability to adapt to new software for interactive experiences.
