IVIPRO DAYS

I was invited by IVIPRO DAYS to be a speaker in conversation with Diego Grammatico (London Games Festival), Sindi Breshani and Juliette Coquet (Episod Studio), and Laure De Mey (Balloon Studios). Moderated by Arcadia Café.

I really enjoyed sharing a behind the scenes on how ‘Morgan: Metal Detective’ drew inspiration, design choices and gameplay mechanics from British culture and the Cornish landscape.

It was inspiring that each studio on the panel represents women and underrepresented people in the games industry. I look forward to being part of more conversations like this.

“It is increasingly agreed that cultural heritage can inspire video games and propel them forward. The British game industry has a long-standing tradition of doing this and has proven to be among the leading ones in Europe over time. This panel, co-organized in collaboration with the London Games Festival, offers an overview of three UK video games drawing from natural and cultural heritage, with an introduction from their developers: Botany Manor, Morgan: Metal Detective and Race for the Arctic.”
